Reflection

It has been a week since my last post and I want to try and be more consistent because I know that someday I will look back on this and wonder why I didn't write more. This weekend was fun. On Friday at about 4:30 most of the guys from UCU left for a weekend rafting trip down the Wenatchee river. Friday night was awesome. When we got there, we roasted hot dogs over the campfire, and set up tents in the dwindling hours of the daylight. After filling out bellies to the max, we sang worship songs around the fire, and some guys lead little devotionals. I really enjoyed what was said. That night I decided to take my GPS and wander aimlessly through the woods and try to get lost. It was fun to turn of the lantern and try to walk. It is pitch black when you are so far away from any major cities. That night, with all the stars really reminded me of God's Beauty and how wonderful his perfect creations are.

The next morning, we awoke fairly early and received a shock from the bitter cold. We ate a good breakfast and pack up camp and headed out. We got to the river and put on wetsuits and drove up the road along the river. We had an awesome time navigating the rapids, and floating down the river 16 miles. We had a very crass guide, but he was a cool guy. There was a nice lunch waiting for us when we got back. After we dried off and ate lunch we went up to Matt's house to see his dad's hot rod and some people went in his hot tub.

When I arrived back at UCU two of my friends Daniel and Chris were waiting for me. We ended up going to this new Thai place and catching up over the very good meal. Afterwards we played pool and talked some more. The next morning I went to mars hill and then went home for the day. When I got home, my parents were glad to see me. I soon found out that they were glad to see me because they wanted me to put together a couple of new things that they had bought. During the fairly sunny afternoon I flew my RC Plane and played with my BB gun, Paintball gun, and fireworks. I tried shooting a paintball into a parachute guy on the end of the barrel so that he would go way up and then float down. Needless to say, the paintball broke through the chute and the guy didn't even get off the ground. That night I watched Animation Domination on my dad's projector. Then I slept outside with my neighbor Andy.

Woke up early this morning and flew my plane at like 7. Then I had an orthodontist appointment at 8. I learned that it probably won't be another year until I get my braces off. Oh well, at least I didn't get my hopes up. That is it for now. I am sitting in the Law Library now trying to get my math homework done for tomorrow.
